Position Overview

This position’s primary responsibility will be to partner with both the Sourcing and New Product Development teams to develop, standardize and align on tools that facilitate the Total Cost of Ownership transparency. These roles will be a support network to drive Productivity, Commodit Alignment, Cost documentation and communicate both internally and externally how the Business Groups are establishing cost positions

Education: Bachelors Degree in Business.

Skills and Experience.

  • 1-3 years of related to experience.
  • Experience in electrical industry preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • SAP purchasing experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills is a must as well as a superior understanding of MS Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate time sensitive duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in strategic sourcing activities for multiple spend categories with the goal of reducing total cost of ownership while maintaining or improving service levels and reliability.
  • Develop bids, quotations, RFP’s to support NPD, VA/VE, and cost out efforts.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure content is complete, accurate, and maximizes total cost reduction.
  • Maintains a repository of templates, standard language, and product collateral.
  • Support supplier rationalization efforts by driving spend through Hubbell approved vendor list.
  • Track and report out RFQ analytics on supplier participation, responsiveness, cost competitiveness, etc.
