Due to the actual situation provoked by Covid-19, representatives from the industry and companies in general need to be trained to conduct digital interviews Ines Velasco, general director in Sigma Solutions.
In an exclusive interview for Mexico Industry, Velasco highlighted that, despite being experts in their area, sometimes it is possible that directors and managers do not count with the tools needed to perform an interview to obtain the desired information, by this means, it would result very useful to be trained in this area.
“In the industry there are a lot of experienced people in their areas: finance, accounting, production, among others. And although this is why they are managers, they do not always have these tools. To this, in addition, the difficulty to perform a digital interview is added.” the expert in industrial capacitation said.
She highlighted the importance of performing the interview properly and to make the personal branding..
“At the end of the day, the candidates interviewed are representatives of the company. Even if they are not actually hired, they will become spokesmen for the industry and they will recommend it. Whatever you do, represents your company Never underestimate the company’s brand”, she added.
Another recommendation, given by the expert is that both the interviewer and the interviewed parts need to speak in a common language so that there is understanding from both parts.
“The interviewer needs to know strategies so that the interviewed feels welcome. This is important because, by unknowing him, it is possible that we push away candidates that could add up to the company”. She outlined.
Lastly, Velasco detailed that the transition to the digitization in the laboral aspect was a tendency that had years in the market and in the industry, but this pandemic accelerated this transition; so managers need to modernize to cope with the business activities.
